The Miami Dolphins have had a rough 24 hours. After losing in brutal fashion to the Tennessee Titans, the Dolphins learned that starting center Connor Williams tore his ACL. Star receiver and NFL MVP candidate Tyreek Hill hurt himself during the loss as well.

Miami head coach Mike McDaniel updated the NFL world on Hill’s status during his Tuesday media availability. McDaniel told reporters that the star receiver was “day to day” with his ankle injury.

Barry Jackson, a Miami sports columnist, posted about the news on X, the website formerly known as Twitter.

“McDaniel, who said Hill is day to day, said it’s ‘a little early to be that confident either way’ about Tyreek playing Sunday,” Jackson said.

Jackson quoted McDaniel as saying, “It was a painful ankle. Until he flat out tells me there’s no doubt he’s going to play, you always have to plan for everything.”

When it rains, it pours for Miami. The loss, then the Williams injury, and now the Hill injury would appear to have them reeling a bit. The Dolphins still lead the AFC East Division, but things might tighten up down the road. The stretch run is underway and games will continue to gain more and more significance as it winds down.

Miami will play the New York Jets in their Week 15 game this weekend, with or without Hill.
