Don’t expect New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones to see the field soon.

The Giants have not cleared their starting quarterback for practice quite yet. Jones, who is dealing with a neck injury, hasn’t played since October 8 against the Miami Dolphins.

ESPN’s Jordan Ranaan posted, “Daniel Jones will practice again Wednesday. His workload will not increase and he has stlil not been cleard for contact, per coach Brian Daboll. Same as last week.” But Daboll made sure to clarify to everybody that Jones is still the team’ sstarting quarterback.

Jones had struggled when he was in the lineup earlier this season. While he completed 68.9 percent of his passes, Jones threw just two touchdowns with six interceptions. He also ate 28 sacks, which were more than he even took in 11 games in 2021.

Obviously, it’s been a tough couple years for Jones with the Giants. He’s played variably and the Giants haven’t performed too well. While they made the NFL Playoffs last year, it looks like it’s going to be a pipe dream for them to contend to make it back again this season. Especially with the NFC East being so competitive, especially at the top between the Dallas Cowboys and the reigning NFC Champion Philadelphia Eagles.

It will continue to be an uphill battle for Daniel Jones and the Giants with the news that he’s still not ready yet.
