This week, a photo surfaced of Johnny Manziel wearing a Miami Dolphins hat leading to some speculation that the former Heisman Trophy winner might be planning a comeback to the NFL with the Dolphins. But not only is that not the case, but it seems like Manziel has now walked away from football entirely.

Johnny Manziel saw the speculation, but he was quick to shoot down the idea that he was planning a return or that he was joining the Dolphins. But he did open up about his affinity for Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and head coach Mike McDaniel.

“Absolutely not, my time for football has came and went. I just love Tua and Mike McDaniel so I’m always going to show support. Im a fan of people in the sport of football, not teams…” Manziel said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Obviously, the photo and the message from Manziel led to a lot of reactions on social media.

So while Manziel will not be attempting to join the Miami Dolphins as some fans hoped, it does sound like he will at least be supporting their quarterback and head coach for the foreseeable future.
