While some might have crowed conspiracy after the Detroit Lions’ latest loss, head coach Dan Campbell wants to put a lid on that.

The Lions lost to the Dallas Cowboys in a thrilling Saturday night game at AT&T Stadium. Detroit scored a touchdown late and attempted a two-point conversion that would have tied the game. But the officials ruled the Lions had an illegal formation, among other violations, which wiped out the successful try. Detroit wasn’t able to capitalize after that on their next attempts and fell by two points.

Campbell appeared to be heated after the call and after the game. But despite his frustrations, the Lions’ head coach isn’t saying the NFL is out to get them.

Pro Football Talk wrote, “On Monday, Campbell was asked about the perception that the NFL is ‘against’ the Lions. ‘Don’t do that,’ Campbell replied. ‘Don’t do it. I know. I get it. But don’t do that. Don’t buy into that. Don’t live in that world, man. That’ll just pull you down.”

It’s not a strong-headed approach to it, and it’s also a proper way to do it. Delving into that only opens Pandora’x Box. You don’t want to wade into that because if you crow conspiracy about one thing, then you’ll be bound to do it more. And that’ll just lead you to trouble.
