No. 1 Michigan will play No. 4 Alabama in the 2024 Rose Bowl Game on January 1. The Wolverines will return to Pasadena for the first time since the conclusion of the 2006-07 season. Alabama, meanwhile, will make a very rare trip out to Pasadena, their last coming in the 2009 BCS National Championship Game.
Going into this one, there’ll be plenty of hype and discussion. Alabama and Michigan are two of college football’s premier programs and flagship brands. They’ll have all sorts of attention and eyes on them coming their way on the first of the new year.
Over the weekend, former Michigan standout Taylor Lewan made a bold prediction for the game. He doesn’t think it’ll be close.
“Over the weekend, I watched a lot of film on the Alabama Crimson Tide. It’s clear to me Michigan is the better team, with better coaching. It’s not the 2010s anymore. Michigan should win by double digits,” Lewan boldly predicted.

You would probably find plenty who will wind up on the other side of things. Several naysayers for Michigan have doubted their prowess all season and may expect Alabama to blow the doors off them.
Perception is an issue only until it isn’t. Whatever the case, it’ll all be settled on the field in Pasadena on January 1. There’s not much to do until then except talk, so bold predictions may follow this one in the near future.
