The Michigan Wolverines won the National Championship this past season. But they, much like everyone else, are prone to offseason attrition. A now-former defensive back hit the transfer portal and announced his destination on Wednesday.
Amorion Walker will trade his maize and blue in to play in Mississippi. Walker will transfer from Michigan to Ole Miss, another big move for the Rebels, who’ve been very active in the portal.
On3’s Hayes Fawcett reported the move from one Big Ten power to an emerging SEC threat.
“Former Michigan CB Amorion Walker has committed to Ole Miss,” Fawcett posted.

Walker played two seasons at the University of Michigan. A Class of 2022 recruit, he appeared sporadically in his two years in Ann Arbor. After he played six games as a freshman, he played five as a sophomore in the Wolverines’ title-winning season. He came away with three tackles and a 0.5 TFL this year in that limited action.
Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin will be banking on potential with this move. A depth transfer for the Rebels at cornerback might behoove them greatly. They’ll face some teams with serious firepower on offense, so they’ll need all the help that they can get. This is just the latest splash Ole Miss has made in the portal. They’ve been incredibly active, with the headline pull being former No. 1 recruit Walter Nolen.
