With their season over now and the bowl game the only thing left on the ledger, Notre Dame football made a change on Tuesday. The Fighting Irish parted ways with wide receivers coach Chansi Stuckey, who worked under head coach Marcus Freeman the last two years.
Football Scoop’s John Brice was the first to report the news, as many noted on Tuesday.
“Notre Dame wide receivers coach Chansi Stuckey will not return for 2024, a source confirmed to ESPN,” Adam Rittenberg posted. “Stuckey spent the past two years with the Irish.” Rittenberg then later noted, of course, that Brice was first to report.

Stuckey previously served as a wide receivers coach for Baylor University. Prior to that, he was on the Clemson Tigers staff as a graduate assistant and then had a role in offensive player development. He’s spent the last three years as a receivers coach, so if he lands somewhere else, expect him to keep that title.
Notre Dame typically has pretty strong receivers and tight ends. So obviously, they felt that Stuckey wasn’t the guy to get him where they need to be. Marcus Freeman will have to look elsewhere to replace him, and hope to keep the pipeline going in South Bend. Several NFL talents have come out on that end over the years.
The Fighting Irish just await their bowl selection now while their coaching staff undergoes some changes.
