Jack Jones Raiders Credit: NFL on CBS

If you’re a Raider, there’s no Christmas joy to spread the Chiefs or their fans. Unfortunately, someone found that out the hard way on Monday. The Raiders have surprised Kansas City with a stirring performance in the first half. Vegas scored two touchdowns in less than ten seconds off a fumbled snap and then a pick-six. The rare pick-six by multi-time NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes landed in the hands of defensive back Jack Jones.

Jones scurried into the end zone to celebrate the touchdown to put the team up 16-7. While he celebrated, he went over towards the stands to taunt the fans. He then eyed a young Chiefs fan sitting with their family.

Jones appeared to offer the ball to the kid… only to pull it back at the last second.

Depending on where you stood, this moment drew a significant reaction from viewers.

“You’re a mean one, Mr. Jones.”

The moment obviously made Jones feel a lot of ways, because he took the time to also taunt Mahomes on the way into the end zone.

Stories need villains, and in the NFL, nobody historically has embraced that role quite like the Raiders have. So amid a lot of turnover and shuffling, the silver and black made a return to their villainy ways on Christmas Day.
