U.S. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas speaks at a rally in support of Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt's reelection at Crossroads Church in Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022. Syndication: The Oklahoman

Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) hasn’t had a great MLB Postseason experience. Cruz, a noted Houston Astros fan, has attended four of the team’s postseason games this October. Brutally, the Texas Republican Senator has yet to see the Astros win.

Astros writer Michael Schwab posted last night on the team’s abysmal record with Cruz in attendance. “0-4 at home this postseason when Ted Cruz is at the game,” Schwab wrote.

Fans and otherwise roasted Cruz last weekend after he attended Game 1 of the American League Championship Series, where the Astros played their in-state rivals, the Texas Rangers. The Rangers and Astros will go to a deciding Game Seven after the Rangers picked up a victory at Minute Maid Park.

Houston and Texas have fought tooth and nail against each other this ALCS. The series has volleyed back and forth into a winner-take-all situation later this week. Either the Rangers will win the AL pennant for the first time since 2012, or the Astros will once again return to the Fall Classic for the fifth time since 2017. They won the World Series last season, so they would seek the first World Series repeat title since the 1999 and 2000 New York Yankees.

Hopefully, for their sake, Cruz doesn’t attend that game with the bad mojo he’s brought alongside him. The MLB world and otherwise took the time to roast the Texas Senator again.
