Since Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban announced his retirement Wednesday, current and former players have shared interesting stories about him and his wife Terry.
Terry Saban is a beloved figure among Alabama fans. “Miss Terry” has also become close to Crimson Tide defensive back Terrion Arnold. Arnold told an interesting story about their relationship as well as her relationship with former Alabama wide receiver and former Las Vegas Raiders player Henry Ruggs.
When Arnold declared for the draft, one of the first people he heard from was Terry Saban, whom he describes as his “best friend.” Arnold said that she gave him a book of quotes, but he noticed some pages missing.
After declaring for the NFL Draft, Miss Terry gifted Terrion Arnold a book of daily quotes but 18 pages were missing.
Miss Terry told @ArnoldTerrion she ripped pages out to send Henry Ruggs while he was incarcerated since you can’t send books, you have to do it by the page.… pic.twitter.com/dSfLHrm9M7

Saban told him that she had been sending those torn-out pages to Ruggs because you can’t send full books to someone in prison.
Ruggs is serving a ten-year sentence for killing a woman and her dog in a drunk-driving accident a few years back.
“That’s just a testament to how she is,” Arnold said, adding that Terry is the heartbeat of the team and is there for current and former Crimson Tide players.
For many Bama players and fans, Nick is not the only Saban who will be missed.
