Legendary seven-time Super Bowl champion quarterback Tom Brady has been retired from the league for over a year. But in a pretty insane twist, it sounds like there’s a chance he could come back and still return to the league this year. In fact, you can even bet on it.
According to Covers.com, fans can currently bet on Tom Brady to unretire this upcoming NFL season at 10/1 odds, or +1000. While that might seem to indicate that Brady is extremely unlikely to retire, it sounds quite a bit more likely when those odds are put into context.
For example, the San Francisco 49ers had 10/1 odds to win the Super Bowl before the start of the 2023 NFL season, and they were one defensive stop away from winning the Super Bowl title. So these odds are essentially indicating that Brady has the same odds of returning this season as the San Francisco 49ers did of winning the Super Bowl last season.
Needless to say, it’s pretty insane news that Brady has such short odds to return to the league given that he retired more than a year ago, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media.
