It’s not taking long for Milwaukee Brewers prospect Jackson Chourio to get acclimated in the bigs. The exciting Chourio, the Brewers’ top prospect, already has made his mark on the team after a brilliant first weekend.

Then, Chourio decided to make an even bigger mark on Wednesday. Milwaukee hosted the Minnesota Twins in their opening series at home. So Chourio got to play in front of the Milwaukee fans for the first time. He did not leave them unhappy.

Chourio went yard for his first career home run on Wednesday! The exciting top prospect delivered the goods with a laser-beam homer over the wall against the Twins.

Chourio’s first career home run was no cheapie. He blasted it over the wall, 402 feet. According to the Brewers broadcast, the ball came off the bat hot at 103.5 mph.

Many expected this type of play out of Chourio as he leveled his way up the ladder. He’s only 20 years old, so he’s an exceptional talent to already be doing this at the Major League level. It’s all about consistency from here, but he appears to be in a rhythm.

Unfortunately, the Brewers trail the Twins right now, so Milwaukee might not be in a celebratory mood today. But if nothing else, fans might have seen some history at the ballpark Wednesday afternoon.
