A top EDGE transfer has flipped to the Colorado Buffaloes. Head coach Deion Sanders can celebrate on Monday after landing EDGE BJ Green, a significant move in the NCAA Transfer Portal.
On3 ranks Green as a Top 25 transfer portal player as of right now. So it’s safe to say that Colorado landed a quality player. Green, formerly of Arizona State, will technically be on his third school after committing to UW.
Hayes Fawcett reported the news of the transfer.
“Former Arizona Stat EDGE BJ Green II has flipped from Washington to Colorado,” Fawcett said. “The 6’1 265 EDGE will have 1 year of eligibility remaining. Green is ranked as a Top 25 Player in the Portal.”

Green is a big add for the Buffaloes, who are building another roster through the transfer portal. While their high school recruiting class still leaves a lot to be desired, Sanders is still intent on trying to use the portal to his advantage. Thus far, he’s piecing something together. It’s becoming a quality roster, and any further improvement for the program will be looked at highly.
The Buffaloes won more games in 2023 than they did in 2022 after being one of the worst programs in college football. The Buffs had weekly excitement and attention, more than most teams would under any other set of circumstances. They may have missed out on a bowl game, but there’s plenty of optimism still in Boulder.
