The Minnesota Vikings have been without star wide receiver Justin Jefferson over the last few weeks. The standout fourth-year receiver has missed time since October 8, when he injured his hamstring during the Vikings’ game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Jefferson updated his health status ahead of Minnesota’s Week 10 game against the New Orleans Saints.

According to Pro Football Talk, Jefferson told reporters on Thursday that he’s healing up well. PFT wrote, “Jefferson said that his hamstring is feeling ‘better and better every single day,’ but that he ‘can’t really put a date’ on when he will be back in the lineup.”

Since he entered the league in 2020, Justin Jefferson has been one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. The eye test will tell you that, and so will his statistics. He spun for 4,825 receiving yards in his first three seasons on 324 receptions. In 2022, Jefferson led the league in receptions (128) and receiving yards (1,809). He scored eight touchdowns last season and has 28 total touchdowns in his career.

Before getting injured, Jefferson had 36 receptions, 571 receiving yards, and three receiving touchdowns. Things have drastically changed since he exited the lineup as well. Kirk Cousins hurt his Achilles, sending him to the sideline. Joshua Dobbs just miraculously helped lift the Vikings to victory over the weekend, so he’s off to a terrific start.

Whenever Jefferson returns, expect a lot of attention.
