With the U.S. Open beginning Thursday at Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania, there will be plenty of wild golf shots to take in.

But first, this disc golf shot deserves some credit. While playing in the 2016 Beaver State Fling, a tournament that’s a part of the Professional Disc Golf Association Tour, Philo Brathwaite hit an 850-foot shot. It’s a shot that’s so incredible you have to see it to believe it.

The shot counted as an albatross, which is another term for a double eagle. The shot is incredible for a number of reasons, including the fact that Brathwaite is able to get the disc around the trees and have it land directly in the hole. Following the shot, Brathwaite said he was just happy to get it around the trees. He wasn’t even worried about making it in the hole.

Brathwaite isn’t the first disc golfer to make headlines for a ridiculous shot. Dave Feldberg hit a similarly ridiculous shot in 2015.

Though it’s rare for disc golf to get much coverage, shots like these ones might bring our attention to the niche sport.
