The Atlanta Braves are off to a terrible 0-7 start to the 2016 season, but on Wednesday morning, their season took a more serious turn. 31-year old outfielder Hector Olivera was arrested in Arlington, Virginia for his role in a domestic dispute.

Details of Olivera’s arrest are still murky, though he has not yet been charged with a crime.

Police sources say the female victim called 911 from the Ritz Carlton in Pentagon City at 6:51 Wednesday morning saying she had been assaulted. Police say the victim had bruises and was transported to Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington. Olivera was at the hotel and taken into police custody.

Olivera is currently being processed by the Arlington Police Department. He has not yet been formally charged.

Olivera was acquired by the Braves from the Dodgers last summer in a trade that sent starting pitcher Alex Wood (among others) to Los Angeles. In six games this year with Atlanta, he’s hitting .211/.238/.263. He made his major league debut last year with the Braves, and over a 24 game trial in the majors, he hit .253/.310/.405 with two homers.

The Dodgers signed Olivera out of Cuba last May, giving him a six-year, $62.5 million contract that included a $28 million signing bonus.

MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred and his office have already dealt with three domestic violence incidents this season after implementing a new policy over the offseason.

Aroldis Chapman was suspended 30 games by the league despite not having criminal charges pressed, while Yasiel Puig escaped punishment due to a lack of evidence and murky circumstances. Jose Reyes remains on administrative league and awaits his final punishment after charges in a domestic dispute were dropped earlier this month.

Olivera has been placed on administrative leave by MLB while they conduct an investigation into the incident.
