If returning hope to the city of New York and Knicks fans everywhere was not enough, Kristaps Porzingis may also be indirectly responsible for fueling the rise of the Latvian rap industry.

Yes, the Latvian rap industry. That’s apparently a thing.

A group going by the name Olas recently dropped a banger and wintery music video centered on the 20-year-old rookie titled, “Keep Calm like Kristaps Porzingis.”

This is the second (!!) Latvian rap video about Porzingis released since he joined the Knicks. The previous one is below.

I’m impartial to the Olas song, if only for the imagery of drifting Ferraris on snow-covered streets.

Keep in mind, we’re only a few months into the Kristaps Porzingis experience. Just imagine what will happen if the Knicks mess around and actually make the playoffs. We could be looking at Riga as the new hip-hop capital of the world.
