Donald Trump and the New England Patriots are no strangers to each other. However, the ties that bind apparently now include “good friends” Bill Belichick and Trump.
Belichick was photographed with his girlfriend and Trump at his Mara Lago resort after having dinner with the presidential candidate.
The Patriots and Trump have a long-standing relationship, with Trump known to praise the team via Twitter and being involved with a number of players on the team over the years.
Most recently it was Tom Brady “endorsing” Trump for President and sporting the trademark “Make America Great Again” hat. The two are good friends and have known each other for years according to Brady himself.
Trump being endorsed and supported by athletes is nothing new, as plenty have come out in support over the past few months. Athletes and front-office personnel as varied as Mike Ditka, Herschel Walker, Bill France and Terrell Owens are amongst the supporters of Trump to date.
Adding an active NFL head coach as popular and polarizing as Bill Belichick certainly seems right up Trump’s alley.
