Floyd Mayweather

On Sunday night, boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. participated in an exhibition match against UFC and boxing upstart John Gotti III, but that match erupted into absolute chaos when the referee stopped the fight before the final bell.

Both Floyd Mayweather Jr. and John Gotti III spent most of the match talking trash to each other, making it nearly impossible for referee Kenny Bayless to control the match. As a result, Bayless ultimately called the match off in the sixth round – and that’s when the absolute chaos erupted.

“That’s it, that’s it,” Bayless can be heard saying as he tried to end the match, but Gotti was not having it. He rushed passed Bayless and continued swinging at Mayweather. As a result, people from both fighters’ teams hopped into the ring to try to defend their fighters while match officials tried to end the brawl.

Eventually, both Mayweather and Grotti were pushed to their respective corners and the brawl ended.

It was an absolutely chaotic scene, and the sports world had plenty to say about it on social media as a result.

The match itself has been officially ruled a forfeit after the referee called the bout off in the sixth round due to the trash talk and his inability to control the match.
