The Alabama Crimson Tide vs the Kentucky Wildcats was supposed to be one of the biggest games in the year not only in the SEC but in the country but what it turned out to be was a blowout.
No. 7 Alabama blew out Kentucky Saturday 78-52. This victory was their largest against the Wildcats in program history. The Crimson Tide led from the beginning and put their foot on the pedal in the second half to run away with the game.
This game stunned the college basketball world, especially Kentucky fans, They were expected to compete for a national championship and an SEC title this year. And thus far, they haven’t looked the part. Wildcats fans are not only unhappy with their team but head coach John Calipari. Calipari is currently rumored to be up for the suddenly vacant Texas Longhorns job.
Right now, a lot of Kentucky fans wouldn’t mind if Coach Cal were to pack his bags and leave for Austin after this embarrassing loss.
Calipari said after the game that his team got “rattled” in the second half.
John Calipari is officially on the Hot Seat. Kentucky basketball is a joke right now. pic.twitter.com/OirxyIN9Rd

Something is wrong with Kentucky and it’s bigger than shot selection and playing style. Never seen a Kentucky team accept a loss like this until today.

Kentucky sports talk show host Matt Jones didn’t hold back any punches either when describing how bad this Kentucky team is right now.
Bottom line…this is on Calipari. This team should be good. And it’s been not only underachieving, it’s been embarrassing against good teams
There is no one else to blame

Meanwhile, give credit to Alabama for their play Saturday. They shut down the Wildcats in the second half and never relented. This team is for real and the college basketball world is taking notice.
