Like most of America, everyone saw the taunting incident that took place between LSU’s Angel Reese to Iowa’s Caitlin Clark. Reese said her response was because of Clark’s taunting of South Carolina and she didn’t like it. Reese said she had been “waiting” to get back at Clark. Soon thereafter, Twitter and social media sparked a firestorm around the world. Several took exception to what Reese did, including former SportsCenter host Keith Olbermann. Olbermann, who went to social media to slam Reese’s actions, called the LSU star a “******** idiot,” which did not sit too well with one LSU alum: Shaq.

Shaquille O’Neal called out Olberman for his comments. Shaq tweeted, “Shut your dumb *** up leave angel reese alone.

Olberman tried to explain himself.

“Doesn’t matter the gender, the sport, the background – you’re seconds away from a championship and you do something like this and overshadow all the good,” Olbermann wrote Sunday on Twitter. “Mindless, classless, and what kind of coach does this team have?

Olberman later admitted he didn’t watch the game and then tried to apologize for his actions but it was too late.

“I apologize for being uninformed last night about the back story on this,” Olbermann wrote. “I don’t follow hoops, college or pro, men or women. I had no idea about Clark. Both were wrong,” he said.

His apology went on deaf ears as Twitter users went in on Olberman and his lack of knowledge and sensitivity about the situation.

As you can see, it wasn’t a good day for the former ESPN host. Shaq later pulled the tweet down, but obviously, social media didn’t forget it.
