What were you doing when you were 11 years old?

Probably not getting offered a scholarship to play for a college football program.

As for Rudolph ‘Blaze’ Ingram, he is officially ahead of the curve. The speedy youngster recently received a scholarship offer to one-day play football for the Florida A&M Rattlers.

Ingram made headlines as a seven-year-old when he broke the ESPN record for the fastest 100-meter dash in his age group. Running 100 meters in 13.48 seconds, and blowing away his competition, Ingram soon became known as the “fastest kid on the planet.”

Turns out, he hasn’t slowed down much in the years since and schools are taking notice. “Blaze” posted a video of his conversation with FAMU director of recruiting Devin Rispress in which he was offered a football scholarship after he graduated high school in 2029.

“I’ve been talking with your dad, and I’ve been following you for a couple of years and you still have a long way to go. But you have a good support staff, and you are a worker,” said Rispress. “So, what I’m going to do is offer you at FAMU… You have a long way to go; keep taking care of those grades and keep working the way you’re working, and we’ll get you up to the spring game.”

“Blaze” does play football and his social media accounts are full of highlights showcasing that amazing speed.

While it might sound ludicrous, Ingram also isn’t the first 11-year-old to be offered a college football scholarship.
