The Colorado Buffaloes recently had their spring game over the weekend where wide receiver Montana Lemonious-Craig stole the show with an insane performance. Unfortunately for Colorado fans, it seems like he used this performance to seek opportunities elsewhere else.

Their spring game on Saturday had a ton of buzz around it in the debut season of highly-touted head coach Deion Sanders.

One of the standout players in the game was Montana Lemonious-Craig, who recorded three catches for a whopping 154 yards and two touchdowns.

This impressive performance had many Colorado fans excited to see his talents on display in his junior season. Unfortunately for them, it looks like they will be watching him play elsewhere next season.

Just 24 hours after starring in the spring game, Lemonious-Craig revealed on social media that he will be entering the transfer portal ahead of the 2023 season.

In his message revealing the news, he thanked the Colorado fanbase and coaching staff for their generosity towards him while he was with the program.

It is certainly shocking news, and many took to social media to offer their opinion on the decision.

Lemonious-Craig was expected by most to be one of the most productive returning players for Colorado this upcoming season. He finished last season with 23 receptions for 359 yards and three touchdowns.

While those stats may not jump off the page, Colorado struggled as a whole mightily with a 1-11 record on the year.

Their offense is expected to make a huge jump forward with star quarterback Shedeur Sanders at the helm. However, they will now need to overcome the huge loss following the shocking news on Sunday night.
