The Colorado Buffaloes were the first domino to fall in this year’s conference realignment dance, opting to leave the Pac-12 for the Big 12.

They’re now being followed by Oregon and Washington, who are reportedly both on their way to the Big Ten.

Meanwhile, Arizona, Arizona State, and Utah are all “exploring their options” to potentially join the Big 12 as well.

Colorado took a lot of flak over their decision to leave the Pac-12 in the middle of a media rights negotiation, but head football coach Deion Sanders is not concerned with the politics and shifting chess board at the center of college football right now.

He just wants to win football games.

“Man, I don’t care about no different teams moving. We trying to win, man,” Sanders told a reporter, via On3. “I don’t care where we play. I don’t care what conference, or who we’re playing against, we’re trying to win.”

Sanders added that he feels all of this is about money and that’s just part of the game.

“All this is about money, you know that. It’s about a bag. Everybody’s chasing a bag, then you get mad at the players when they chase it. How is that? How do the grownups get mad at the players when the colleges are chasing it?”

It’s a valid point considering all of the griping that school officials and coaches have made over NIL. Sure seems like there’s plenty of money to go around.
