The Colorado Buffaloes went 1-11 last season before firing their coach.

What a difference one year and the right hire can make.

The ESPN College GameDay crew was in Boulder, Colorado, on Saturday ahead of the Colorado vs. Colorado State game. The Buffaloes are off to a surprising 2-0 start under first-year head coach Deion Sanders, who already has his team at No. 17 in the Associated Press Poll and No. 21 in the Coaches Poll.

Those are the highest rankings for the school’s football team since finishing No. 16 at the end of the 2016 season.

As such, the scene in Boulder was already electric as Sanders took to the stage and sat front and center among the College GameDay crew. And that was before a surprise appearance from the most electrifying man in sports entertainment history, The Rock.

The Rock was fresh off a return to WWE, the professional wrestling organization in which he made a name for himself, during a Friday night appearance on SmackDown! alongside ESPN college football analyst Pat McAfee. The Rock also hinted at a possible match with Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 40 while speaking Friday on The Pat McAfee Show.

The Rock and Sanders embraced on the stage like long-lost brothers as the crowd behind them went absolutely insane at the scene.

The CFB world was quick to react:
