It’s been two-and-a-half weeks since head coach Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles learned they wouldn’t be participating in the College Football Playoff despite being the undefeated conference champion of a power conference.

In the time since, the Seminoles have shifted focus to preparing for their Orange Bowl clash with the Georgia Bulldogs, but the snub still weighs on Norvell’s mind.

Speaking to the media after Tuesday’s Orange Bowl practice, the fourth-year head coach addressed the snub. He said, via On3, “I mean, I will always have the feelings of what happened. But at the end of the day, I wasn’t in that room and it wasn’t my choice. So, my beliefs of what it is, that’s that.”

Despite the snub, Norvell said the Seminoles have plenty to be proud of this season and he wants them to keep that in mind.

“I am so proud of what and who this team is and what they represented for 13 weeks of the season and now whatever challenge presents itself moving forward, there’s going to be something that we point back to that says we’ve dealt with it and we’ve grown from it and we get to be better throughout it. But I’ll never lose the feelings that I have, and I hope these guys don’t either.”
