Pro wrestling legend Gage Goldberg is a major college football recruit. On Sunday, we learned where the former World Champion’s son will play college football.

Gage committed to none other than the Colorado Buffaloes. So, Deion Sanders will coach his former NFL teammate’s son when he arrives on campus.

Gage Goldberg announced his commitment on his personal X account.

“After a great conversation, I am honored to announce that I am committing to the University of Colorado to continue my football and academic career!!!” Gage posted.

Gage is undersized for his position at defensive end, but that could obviously change through growth, maturity, and an FBS program’s diet and nutrition plan at Colorado. He’s a Class of 2024 recruit from Champion High School in Boerne, Texas, according to his 247Sports page. He is not currently listed as a starred recruit in either the 247Sports or 247Sports Composite Rankings. That, of course, never stopped anyone from making an impact before (although it may make it more challenging).

Really, this is a cool moment for Bill Goldberg, who’ll get to see his son live out his football career. He was able to let his son see him wrestle professionally for the first time after he returned to WWE in 2016. Seven years later, and now the other phase can begin. Before wrestling, Bill Goldberg was a professional football player. After he starred at the University of Georgia, Goldberg later joined the Atlanta Falcons. There, he was a teammate of Sanders‘ from 1992-93. So, that creates a cool situation in it of itself too.
