Ole Miss Rebels quarterback is preparing to take on the Penn State Nittany Lions in the Peach Bowl, who boast one of the most dominant defenses in the entire country this season. And Dart has taken notice.

During a recent press conference, Jaxson Dart had some high praise for the Penn State defense as he prepared for the game.

“Obviously they’re elite,” Dart said. “They’re one of the best defenses in the country. Got a lot of speed. They’re long, especially at the linebacker position, and they’re explosive on the edges. [They] have great corners and their DBs as a whole have been playing at a really high level.”

Penn State currently ranks No. 1 in the country in total defense, allowing just 223.3 yards per game. The Nittany Lions are also third in the country in terms of scoring defense, allowing an average of just 11.4 points per game. Penn State even has three shutout wins this season, two of which came against Big Ten opponents.

The Nittany Lions will be without star pass rusher Chop Robinson, who opted out of the game to prepare for the NFL, as well as defensive coordinator Manny Diaz, who was just hired as the next head coach at Duke.

Still, it’s certainly going to be a challenge for Ole Miss in this game.
