Jim Harbaugh was standing on the sideline at Houston’s NRG Stadium, coaching his Michigan Wolverines against the Washington Huskies during Monday night’s National Championship game. But his attention from the game was momentarily diverted — to his brother.

John Harbaugh, Jim’s older brother and head coach of the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens, came to Houston to support his brother. But while the rest of the Harbaugh family (including John and Jim’s parents, Jack and Jacqueline Harbaugh) was in the crowd, John got down on the sidelines. And during the game, he went over to greet his brother.

During a break in the game, Jim was standing on the sidelines hunched over, facing the ground with his hands on his knees. The elder Harbaugh brother came in behind Jim and gave him a quick pat on the back. A surprised Jim popped up and looked to his left. When he realized who had patted him on the back, the two brothers shared a quick hug.

The Harbaugh family reunion caught the attention of the football world.

It was also suggested that Jim should return the favor in February, should John’s Ravens make the Super Bowl.
