The Alabama Crimson Tide have struggled so far this season and have not yet solidified their starting quarterback situation. But as the Ole Miss Rebels head into a showdown with Alabama this week, it sounds like head coach Lane Kiffin is still expecting a challenge.

Lane Kiffin acknowledged that it will be nice to play against another quarterback besides No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young this year, but he made it clear that this is still a very talented team and that it’s difficult to win games in Tuscaloosa.

“Well it’s good to know Bryce won’t be there,” Kiffin said according to On3. “That’s very positive. I mean, we all got our issues and, you know, this is one of the best teams or the best team in the last 15 years and one of the hardest places to play.

“Just because Texas won one in there, I mean, it didn’t get easier. So it’s a huge challenge, a dynasty and gotta do a lot of work to be able to be on the field with those guys. (They have) premier recruiting classes of five star players everywhere.”

Kiffin obviously knows Alabama well after he spent three seasons with the team as their offensive coordinator from 2014 to 2016.
