Several months ago, former Ole Miss player Desanto Rollins filed a lawsuit against the school and head coach Lane Kiffin. The lawsuit stemmed from a two-week mental health break Rollins requested.

Rollins had said a few months ago that there was audio evidence of an exchange between him and Kiffin, and now that audio has been found and leaked to the press.

Front Office Sports released the audio in which you could hear Kiffin telling Rollins, “Go read your (expletive) rights about mental health” before saying, “We can kick you off the team.”

In the original lawsuit, which was filed in September, Rollins accused Kiffin of taking action against him “on account of race for requesting and taking a mental health break” and also accused Kiffin of  “adverse action against white student-athletes” for the same request.

Rollins also accused the school of sexual discrimination, stating that they basically were more concerned about female-student athletes’ mental health than male student-athletes, a charge the university denies.

He also claimed that he”suffered severe depression, anxiety, frustration, embarrassment, humiliation, a loss of sleep and loss of appetite” and that the school and Kiffin did nothing about it.

The school and Kiffin have denied the charges and tried to have the suit dismissed on Wednesday.
