The Michigan Wolverines football program has been dealing with a ton of controversy regarding the sign-stealing investigation they are currently facing. Even more information on the matter emerged on Monday night that shows just how deep this scandal may go.

For those not familiar with the allegations Michigan is facing, it centers around a former recruiting staffer named Connor Stalions. He is accused of orchestrating a sign-stealing scheme where he would film the sidelines at games not involving the Wolverines.

This is a clear violation of NCAA rules if true since in-person scouting of upcoming opponents has been outlawed by the NCAA since 1994.

According to Dan Dakich of Outkick, Stalions influence of in-person scouting may go deeper than most even realize.

Dakich reportedly spoke with an anonymous Big Ten coach who told him that there is a video of Stalions on the sidelines during a game where he was seen deciphering the signs of a future Michigan opponent.

One alleged photo of Stalions emerged on social media showing him wearing Central Michigan gear on the sidelines during one of their games, presumably against a Big Ten opponent of Michigan.

It’s hard to tell that this is Stalions for certain, as whoever is in the photo is wearing sunglasses. However, if this is indeed him, that would mean that Stalions snuck onto the field, found Central Michigan gear, and began to actively scout future Michigan opponents during the game.

The NCAA has acted quickly to investigate this entire scandal, and it will likely all emerge soon regarding how much the entire program was involved in this alleged activity from Stalions.

But it seems like this entire scandal keeps getting more and more wild as each day passes. And if Stalions and Michigan are indeed found guilty of in-person sign-stealing by the NCAA, you can almost certainly expect some unprecedented repercussions coming their way.
