The Ohio State Buckeyes have not had a very pleasant past couple of months. After falling to the Michigan Wolverines to end the regular season, ending their College Football Playoff hopes, the Buckeyes then fell to the Missouri Tigers in the Cotton Bowl by a score of 14-3 after an embarrassing offensive performance. But the team did get some good news this week as one of their key players will be returning next season.
On Friday, Ohio State Buckeyes starting safety Lathan Ransom announced in a post on social media that he will not be entering the NFL Draft this offseason and will instead be returning to Ohio State for one more year.
“It’s not easy to leave a team. It’s much harder to leave a brotherhood,” Ransom said in his post on social media. “This football program and this University mean too much to me, and we have unfinished business. After much thought and prayer, I have decided to return to The Ohio State University for my final season in 2024.”
Obviously, this is absolutely massive news for the Buckeyes, and the college football world had a lot to say about it on social media.
The season went sideways when he got injured. https://t.co/tt8CoPv3M1
