The Ohio State Buckeyes are coming off a disappointing end to the 2023 college football season after suffering two consecutive losses to end the season, but the Buckeyes are enjoying an incredible stretch of success on the recruiting trail to lift their spirits, and that continued on Sunday.
On Sunday afternoon, the Ohio State Buckeyes secured a commitment from five-star cornerback Na’eem Offord, who is currently ranked as the No. 1 cornerback in the 2025 and a top-five player in the country overall.
A 6-foot-1 prospect out of Birmingham, Alabama, Offord chose to commit to Ohio State over in-state options Alabama and Auburn.
BREAKING: Five-Star Plus+ CB Na’eem Offord tells me he has Committed to Ohio State!
The 6’1 180 CB from Birmingham, AL is ranked as a Top 5 Recruit in the ‘25 Class (No. 1 CB)

“Just felt like they were the best fit for me to come in and compete with the best of the best getting developed by a coach who has been around the game for a long time,” Offord told On3 of his decision to commit to the Buckeyes.
This is particularly insane news for the Buckeyes because they already hold a commitment from five-star cornerback Devin Sanchez, giving Ohio State commitments from the two top corners in the 2025 class. And this led to a lot of reactions on social media.

Ohio State became the first team to sign both of the top two cornerbacks in the 247Sports composite rankings when they landed Jeff Okudah and Shaun Wade in 2017.
With Na’eem Offord and Devin Sanchez committed, the Buckeyes are in position to do it again: https://t.co/dlWUxzomyi
