In college football recruiting, it’s always a big deal when a team is able to land a player they think can be a future star for their team. But on Monday afternoon, the Ohio State Buckeyes landed not one, but two highly-touted high school prospects as twin brothers Deontae and Devontae Armstrong both committed to Ohio State.

Both Deontae and Devontae Armstrong are four-star offensive line prospects out of St. Edward High School in Lakewood, Ohio with Deonte Armstrong rated as the No. 313 overall player in the 2024 recruiting class while Devontae is rated as the No. 353 overall player.

The twin brothers visited Ohio State over the weekend where they told head coach Ryan Day about their commitment.

“My favorite moment of (Saturday), and the whole recruiting process is when at the end of the visit in coach Day’s office after practice my brother and I told him we have seen enough and that we’d like to commit to Ohio State today,” Devontae Armstrong told Garrick Hodge of Eleven Warriors. “He jumped up with a big smile and hugged us and ran to get coach Frye. It was just an overall surreal experience.”

It’s a huge recruiting win for the Buckeyes, and the college football world had plenty to say about it on twitter.

We’ll have to see how the twin brothers perform once they get to the college level.
