The Ohio State Buckeyes are facing their biggest game of the season this week when they host the Penn State Nittany Lions in a top-10 showdown, but the injury status of a few prominent players is currently unknown – and it doesn’t sound like head coach Ryan Day is too interesting in giving updates on their status before Saturday’s game.

The Buckeyes were without running backs TreVeyon Henderson and Miyan Williams as well as star wide receiver Emeka Egbuka during the team’s win over the Purdue Boilermakers this week. Additionally, star cornerback Denzel Burke left Saturday’s game with an injury and did not return to action. But Day was not willing to give any updates during his press conference on Tuesday.

“Asked about TreVeyon Henderson, Miyan Williams and Emeka Egbuka, Ryan Day doesn’t offer any specifics on their status but says he’s ‘hopeful we’ll have all those guys back on Saturday,'” Ohio State beat writer Dan Hope of Eleven Warriors said in a post on X. “Asked if that same answer would apply to Denzel Burke, Ryan Day replied, ‘Yeah.'”

It’s clear that Day doesn’t want to give too much information away before he has to, and the CFB world had plenty to say about his words on social media.

We’ll have to see which of these players is available for Ohio State on Saturday.
