Entering the 2022-23 college football season, Ohio State Buckeyes running back TreVeyon Henderson was seen by many as potentially the top running back in the entire country. But due to a few lingering injuries, he hasn’t always been available for the Buckeyes this season. And it looks like he’s going to miss another game on Saturday when Ohio State takes on the Indiana Hoosiers.
According to college football insider Pete Thamel of ESPN, TreVeyon Henderson will be out for Saturday’s game against the Hoosiers as he continues to deal with a lingering foot injury. It will be the second game in a row that Henderson has missed after he was sidelined for last week’s game against the Northwestern Wildcats as well.
Henderson’s status going forward is important for the Buckeyes as they continue their push toward the College Football Playoff, and the college football world had plenty to say about his injury status on Twitter.
Its a good thing we have 3 scholarship kickers and 3 scholarship RBs , one of which tore acl in preseason. And the other is out and the other is hurt https://t.co/WJi5iZpwFP

Was pretty sure this was gonna be the case earlier in the week when Day said about getting the two backs behind him and Williams attempts https://t.co/zFVlyJZ9xl

Is Ohio St ever gonna have their stars fully healthy at the same time? Seems like they've been missing dudes all year. https://t.co/AUJOapMXik

In addition to Henderson’s absence, the Buckeyes will continue to be without star wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who hasn’t played consistently since suffering a hamstring injury during the first drive of Ohio State’s season-opening win over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Injuries have certainly plagued this Buckeye team this year.
