The college football world can’t stop talking about an awesomely-named recruit who committed on Monday to his college of choice.

Relatively-unknown recruit Rowdy Beers announced he will commit to FIU on Monday. Beers is a tight end who attends Valor Christian High School out in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Despite his obscurity, Beers became an instant sensation after his announcement.

His announcement, which appeared on his Twitter account, read, “All glory to God!! Committed!!! I would like to thank my parents and my coaches for the sacrifices they made and making me the player and person I am today. Paws up!!!”

Reaction to Beers’ commitment came from all over. Including Buffalo Wild Wings. The restaurant’s Twitter account tweeted the art emoji at Beers.

Hammer and Nigel, a radio show on 93.1 FM WIBC in Indianapolis, got in on the fun. They tweeted, “Feels like we need to get this kid some NIL money. The OFFICIAL college football player of the Hammer & Nigel Show” with two moneybag emojis and two beer mug emojis.

CBS’ Cover 3 Podcast also partook in the fun. The Podcast’s account tweeted a GIF of noted beer enthusiast, Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Both Max Olson of The Athletic and Rodger Sherman of The Ringer tweeted in excitement, shouting Rowdy’s name out.

Andy Staples then forecasted a lot of money in Beers’ future.
