The Colorado Buffaloes and quarterback Shedeur Sanders have been flying high so far in the 2023 college football season.

On Saturday, the Oregon Ducks brought them back down to earth with a decimating first-half performance that led to a 35-0 lead at halftime.

While Shedeur, son of head coach Deion Sanders, has looked like one of the best quarterbacks in the nation in the first three games of the season, he’s been scrambling for his life on Saturday. The Oregon defense has been overwhelming the Colorado offensive line, keeping Sanders from being able to get anything going. Pretty much every time Sanders drops back to pass, he has to deal with Colorado defenders in his face.

College football fans have been coming out in droves to comment on Sanders’ rough first half.

“Shedeur Sanders every time he gets the snap,” said one fan, showing off an image of Russell Wilson being chased by multiple defenders.

“Shedeur Sanders get my guy some offensive lineman,” said another fan on X, formerly Twitter.

“Shedeur Sanders is going to get hurt behind that offensive line today! My goodness,” said another fan.

“Colorado’s offensive line might set records this game for how many times they allow Shedeur Sanders to get sacked,” said another X user.

We’ll see if Sanders and Colorado can put anything together in the second half.
