Quarterback Shedeur Sanders has gotten a lot of the headlines so far in the sudden impact of the Colorado Buffaloes in the 2023 college football season.
Even head coach Deion Sanders said in his latest ranking of his own children that Shedeur was in third and Shilo was in fifth.
After Saturday night, we might need to consider making more room for Shilo Sanders in the conversation for the best Sanders son.
Sanders put up some series highlights during Colorado’s rivalry game against the Colorado State Rams and made a real name for himself while brother Shedeur struggled at times.
Shilo kept Colorado in the game early with a huge 80-yard, pick-six interception return. It was Shilo’s first touchdown as a member of the Buffaloes program since he transferred from Jackson State.

Afterward, Shilo and his dad shared a special moment on the sidelines.

Later on, as Colorado State tried to pull away, Sanders was there once again. This time he caused a fumble that helped shift the momentum and keep the Buffs in the action.

Sanders certainly garnered a lot of accolades and respect from college football fans on Saturday, even if it wasn’t a great day for Colorado.

I hope Shilo Sanders is at the No. 1 child after this performance. At least top three, minimum.
