Deion Sanders Deion Sanders comes out of the locker room before Colorado’s win over Colorado State.

Stanford’s Fisher Anderson had a few things to say after the Cardinal’s victory over the Colorado Buffaloes last Friday night after trailing by 29 points and let’s just say it wasn’t nice.

Anderson all but called out Deion Sanders and his Colorado players for the way they have handled the transfer portal and said they were “mercenaries”.

Anderson posted this comment late Friday night on X.

“A few thoughts on last night,” Fisher wrote on X. “Good always wins out, no matter how bleak it looks. When coach  (Troy) Taylor got hired, he told everyone to stay and believe; Coach prime told everyone to leave. We are program builders; they are mercenaries. I believe in Stanford football; you should too.”

Sanders was criticized heavily by both coaches and former players for the way he handled the transfer portal. He basically dumped all his former Colorado players and told those who stayed if they weren’t good enough, they were welcome to leave too.

While some thought it was a brutal approach to handling the situation, the Buffaloes are clearly better than they were last year and are only two victories away from becoming bowl-eligible, still, his ways and his players’ ways, have rubbed a lot of people the wrong way including Anderson.
