Just hours before their game against Miami on Saturday night, it was reported that Texas A&M will be without four players, all of whom will miss the game for violating team rules. The report comes from 24/7’s GigEm.

The players are freshmen wide receiver Evan Stewart, wide receiver Chris Marshall, cornerback Denver Harris, and cornerback Smoke Bouie.

The last thing the Aggies needed is to have some of their best players out for this game after their embarrassing loss to Appalachian State.

Stewart is the Aggies’ second-leading receiver with 10 catches for 105 yards through two games. Marshall is the fourth-leading receiver this season with four receptions for 41 yards.

Aggies quarterback Haynes King has been benched today for the game and LSU transfer Max Johnson will take his place. King has struggled in his first two starts as Aggies’ quarterback and Jimbo Fisher decided a change was needed.

But now, Johnson has to go into this game with inexperience at wide receiver against a pretty good Miami defense, not the ideal situation for the Aggies. They also have to face the Hurricanes’ offense without two solid cornerbacks, which is sure to hinder their strategy and ability to compete.

What was already a difficult game for the Aggies just got a lot harder.
