As the college football season continues to hum along with the end in sight, the College Football Playoff is wide open.

Four of the top six teams (No 2. Ohio State Buckeyes, No. 3 Michigan Wolverines, No. 5 Washington Huskies, and No. 6 Oregon Ducks) are still scheduled to play each other either in the final week of the regular season or conference championship.

The No. 8 Alabama Crimson Tide will also have a chance to make waves, as they head to the SEC Championship to face the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs, two-time defending national champions.

A win over Georgia combined with the fact that at least two of the teams ahead of them will lose may very well propel Nick Saban and the Tide to their eighth College Football Playoff appearance, the most of any team in the NCAA.

Will the Tide be able to roll back to the Playoff? FOX Sports analyst and former head coach Urban Meyer thinks they can.

“If I’m a betting person I’m saying Alabama’s in the final four,” Meyer said on his podcast, Urban’s Take.

Meyer went on to praise Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe, saying, “That Milroe, he might be the best athlete in college football. Obviously, you’ve got Marvin Harrison Jr. but that’s Percy Harvin, that’s Braxton Miller, that’s Reggie Bush. I actually watch them when I don’t have to, because I really enjoy watching that quarterback.”

So far this year, Milroe has gone 129-for-198 for 2,090 passing yards and 16 touchdowns. He’s also rushed for an additional 333 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Alabama hosts the Chattanooga Mocs on Saturday.
