While there still seems to be no clear-cut front-runner in the Heisman race this season, former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer says there is still at least one player to him that has stood out from the rest, and that’s Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.
Meyer seems to think that he is the best player in the country.
“The Heisman Trophy goes to the best player. I thought he was the best player a year ago, he’s certainly the best player in the country,” Meyer said. “Not receiver,, best player.”
Only one @bigten WR has won the @HeismanTrophy: Desmond Howard (1991). 🏆 @CoachUrbanMeyer and @gerrydinardo tell you why Marvin Harrison Jr. should be the next to win it. #HarrisonForHeisman x @OhioStateFB pic.twitter.com/wTvfCn5bzo
