Every time a coach is either fired in the NFL or college football, the first name that usually comes up is Urban Meyer.

Meyer found most of his coaching success on the college football field with the Utah Utes, Florida Gators, and Ohio State Buckeyes.

His one major coaching disaster came on the NFL level when he decided to coach the Jacksonville Jaguars and didn’t even make it out of one season.

Yet, despite that and some other issues that came up around his college teams, schools are still interested in his services. The question is, is he still interested in coaching?

Meyer’s co-host on the Urban’s Take podcast, Tim May, thinks Meyer may be done with coaching.

“He kind of laughs at speculation out there sometimes,” May told ESPN’s Paul Finebaum. “I think he obviously takes some pride in the fact that some people think he can do it again and turn a program around, but I don’t think he has the interest in doing that.”

May also seems to think that the changes that college football has undertaken in recent years may also keep Meyer away from the game.

“It’s a 24/7, 365 [day] deal now in terms of player personnel. I’m not sure he would like it unless he could get his whole old gang together, and they kind of like where they are at Ohio State,” May said.
