USC Trojans linebacker Mason Cobb gave college football fans an insight on his preparation for the Oregon Ducks and his answer was: there is none.

Cobb admitted that he will not be looking back at the film of the loss to the Washington Huskies before their upcoming game on Saturday to see where the team made mistakes and need corrections.

“Didn’t watch the film (Washington). Nope. Moved on from that game,” the senior linebacker said.

That may come as a surprise to some, especially knowing that most teams go over game film, especially after a loss, to correct their mistakes, and if there is any team that needs that kind of help, it’s USC.

The Trojans’ defense is not exactly one of the best in the country; in fact, they aren’t even ranked in the top 50 in college football in total defense.

The Trojan’s defense has struggled all season long to keep opponents out of the endzone, putting much pressure on the Trojan offense to outscore opponents all season, and it has failed.

Now that defense goes up against an Oregon team with one of the top offenses in the country and another Heisman Trophy candidate in quarterback Bo Nix.

Head coach Lincoln Riley even fired defensive coordinator Alex Grinch because he didn’t see any improvement in his defense. We will see if that makes a difference against Oregon on Saturday.
