The Wisconsin Badgers celebrated a big win on Friday night. The Badgers earned a 38-17 victory over Big Ten foe Purdue at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette. Two of those 38 points scored by the Badgers were put on the board with incredible style. Wisconsin scored the final two points of the game on an amazing trick play to net the two-point conversion.

The Badgers pulled a ‘Philly Special’ out of their bag. Quarterback Tanner Mordecai caught a pass from Will Pauling.

What’s more, of course, is that the game affected the total. The 2-point conversion propelled the total points scored to 55. The total closed at 54 points before the game, according to ESPN. So, that’s a brutal beat for some, considering the score game with 3:35 remaining in the game.

Wisconsin improved to 3-1 with the emphatic road victory, as they scored their first Big Ten win of the season. Their only blemish thus far this season was a loss against the Washington State Cougars. So, the Badgers have built up some momentum now. And they can thank this trick play for it. They’ll now roll into their bye week until they resurface in two weeks for their home Big Ten opener against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

The college football world reacted to the amazing trick play, with plenty to say about it and its effects on the total.
