Wilson was a four-star recruit in the Class of 2024, and Utah likely should retain him even if his recruiting cycle is one year ahead. It’s no real surprise to see him commit to the Utes, as the team has become a power in the Pac-12. They have made numerous appearances in the Pac-12 Championship Game and have won the conference each of the last two seasons. In 2021, the Utes dismantled the Oregon Ducks. In 2022, the Utes won 47-24 over Caleb Williams and USC.
Wilson is the second-ranked recruit in Utah per 247Sports, only behind offensive tackle Isaiah Garcia. Garcia and Wilson both attend Corner Canyon in Draper, Utah. He is the 14th-ranked quarterback in the 2024 cycle. That group is headlined by top-ranked recruit Dylan Raiola, who recently committed to Georgia. Jadyn Davis of Michigan is No. 2.
The Utes can hopefully expect the amount of success Zach Wilson brought to BYU should Isaac assume the role of starting quarterback for the Utes when he joins the team.
