It’s safe to say that last season was not easy for Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson as he had what was statistically the worst season of his entire career after the Broncos acquired him in a blockbuster trade with the Seattle Seahawks. But it sounds like one of his teammates is expecting bigger and better things for this season.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy hosted a youth football camp in the Denver area on Wednesday where he briefly spoke to reporters and expressed confidence in Russell Wilson heading into the 2023 NFL season.

“Russ is a soldier,” Jeudy said according to Ben Swanson of the Denver Broncos official team website. “So just the way he handles his business, the way he handles situations, I just know the type of guy he is and the stuff that he can overcome.

“In the situations like that, that don’t put no fear into a man’s heart. And I know that this year, he got a big year coming ahead.”

Wilson will benefit from having a new head coach after the team hired Sean Payton to lead the team this offseason. It will certainly be interesting to see if he is able to work well with Payton and have a bounce-back performance.
