Look, America is in a weird place right now. The President of the United States’ temperament is not dissimilar to that of a five-year-old. Philadelphia is The City of Champions. Facebook is probably watching you read this right now.

So it wouldn’t be unheard of for someone to decide they just wanted to pack it all in and give up. If that’s the case — boy, does Dunkin Donuts have the snack for you…

Per Grub Street,  The Dunk has been quietly rolling out some new menu items, one of which is Donut Fries.

As you might imagine, it’s basically a donut but in fry form and dusted with cinnamon and sugar. According to the ad copy, they “pair perfectly with Dunkin’ Donuts’ signature beverages and are ideal for an energizing afternoon break.”

Are they “ideal” for a snack, though? Really, Dunkin Donuts?

The catch is that these fries are only being tested in the Boston area for now, as any good Dunkin Donuts campaign would. Grubstreet spoke with the donut purveyor and while they said you’ll only be able to find the fries at “a small number” of stores, they’re considering a “possible national rollout” after they see how they perform.

The fries are also part of a larger “Gotta Have $2 Snacks” menu that includes Munchkins with chocolate dipping sauce, waffle-breaded chicken tenders, Munchkin-shaped pretzel bites with honey mustard, gluten-free brownies, and ham-and-cheese rollups.

It might not be the snack menu you want, but it’s the snack menu you deserve, America.
